Iran's realistic approach in Doha negotiations

Tehran, IRNA – The two-day talks in Doha, which remained fruitless due to American excuses, must have convinced experts of all political persuasions that the main obstacle to not achieving a result in the nuclear negotiations is the White House. The illogical positions of the US in the Doha negotiations and the hasty display of the US and Europe in the Security Council to blame Iran after the Doha meeting showed that Biden, like Trump, has no will to return to the JCPOA. On the other hand, the professional and realistic demands of the negotiating group and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, which were based on the necessity of implementing the provisions of the JCPOA, indicated the belief of the diplomatic apparatus in the necessity of canceling the cruel sanctions from the negotiation path. The evidence shows that in this round of negotiations, Dr. Bagheri is trying to conclude the JCPOA revival negotiations as a diplomat who believes in the lifting of sanctions, with a realistic approach and agreed upon by the high officials of the country, using the national capacity by forming think tanks and consulting with experienced experts is one of the manifestations of the different approach of the diplomacy apparatus and the negotiating group to achieve the desired result. Active participation in the Doha meeting as well as the continuation of consultation with Chinese and Russian authorities to reach common positions to convince America to amend its procedure by canceling sanctions, in accordance with the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, is a sign of the negotiating group's belief in reviving the JCPOA and fulfilling the wishes of the majority of the people. There is no doubt that in 2012, Iran entered into negotiations with the 5+1 countries to lift the sanctions and therefore accepted the proposed restrictions on its nuclear programs. In other words, in response to the commitment of the West to lift the oppressive sanctions, Iran committed to carrying out extra safeguard measures in its nuclear programs. Unfortunately, despite Iran's positive and constructive approach, the International Atomic Energy Agency adopted a non-constructive approach by issuing an anti-Iranian resolution under the influence of the lies of Israel. After the issuance of this resolution and expressing Iran's strong dissatisfaction, Mr. Josep Borrell, in charge of the European Union's foreign policy, came to Tehran to make up for the mistakes, and in order to break the deadlock, he suggested that negotiations be held in a country in the region and on a tripartite basis (Iran, the European Union, America) to be held. But at this stage, the negative and hostile approach of America, which was even criticized by the representative of the European Union, prevented the achievement of a fair result. The illogical positions of the United States in the Doha meeting and the confusion of the country's senior officials in adopting radical positions after the meeting determined which the USA is the main obstacle to breaking out of the deadlock. Now the ball is in America's court, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has prioritized the neutralization of sanctions with an approach based on tolerance and patience, considers it useful to be at the negotiating table to fulfill its wishes. In the future, if the US acts realistically and has a serious will to fulfill its obligations under the JCPOA and cancel oppressive sanctions, a final agreement can be reached. At this time, sympathizers of Iran and people who believe in lifting the sanctions should understand the negative and non-constructive approach of the White House, by adopting united positions in order to exert maximum pressure on America and let this country know that it is the main reason for the negotiations being unsuccessful. There is no doubt that the fundamental policy of Iran, approved by the Supreme National Security Council and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, is the implementation of Iran's obligations conditional on the full implementation of the other party's obligations and the cancellation of JCPOA and post-JCPOA sanctions. This is a definite policy and public demand based on the provision of legitimate and unchangeable nuclear interests. We should not forget that America and Europe today, due to the war in Ukraine and the need to reduce the price of oil, need more than Iran to implement the provisions contained in the JCPOA, and the continuation of Iran's logical, sober and powerful approach in the negotiations will make America realistic and cancel the sanctions and give guarantees to secure Iran's economic interests will force.
