Finance and National Economy Minister meets UK Chancellor of the Exchequer

London, July 4 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa hailed solid relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and Britain, supported by joint cooperation, strategic ties and longstanding relations.

 

He highlighted the support of the leaders of the two countries to joint ties across all fields, supporting the goals of the development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

 

He noted the keenness of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to supporting joint ties binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.

 

The Minister of Finance and National Economy made the statement as he met UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt, on the sidelines of the HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's visit to the United Kingdom.

 

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Sustainable Development Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif and the Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.

 

The Minister of Finance and National Economy hailed the advanced level of strategic partnership and steadily-growing coordination, particularly in the financial and economic sectors.

 

In the statement, he underscored the importance of continuing the consolidation of joint ties and expanding cooperation towards achieving common goals and interests.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further financial and economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. They also reviewed global economic developments.
