The FM Thanks The Norwegian Govt For The Continuous Support Through Norwegian Orgs For The Displaced And Affected Areas

Baghdad / NINA / - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Anneken Huitfeldt, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the International Coalition against ISIS, which is being held in Riyadh.

 

The meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to enhance them, and the importance of bridging cooperation by creating opportunities that would achieve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

 

Hussein thanked the Norwegian government for the continuous support through Norwegian organizations for the displaced and for the areas affected by the war against ISIS terrorists.

 

The two sides discussed the regional situation and Iraq's role in easing regional tension in the region.

 

They discussed regional developments and changes, especially the Palestinian cause, the suffering of the Palestinian people, and the role of the Norwegian government in this regard.

 

For her part, the Norwegian Foreign Minister appreciated Iraq's role in easing tensions in the region, affirming her country's readiness to support Iraq and coordinate with the Iraqi government in all fields./ End
