Foreign Minister Receives a Phone Call from the US Secretary of State

Jeddah, August 18, 2023, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call from Secretary of State of the United States of America Antony Blinken.
During the telephone conversation, developments in the Republic of The Sudan were discussed, with both sides citing the importance of stopping the military escalation between the conflicting parties, ending violence and reducing tensions to ensure the security and stability of the Republic of The Sudan and its people.
Moreover, the US Secretary of State praised the Kingdom's hosting representatives of about 40 countries recently in the city of Jeddah to discuss the Ukraine crisis and find solutions to it.
The two sides also discussed intensifying coordination and bilateral work on many regional and international issues, foremost of which is the promotion of security and stability in the Middle East region and the efforts being exerted by the two allied countries to lay the foundations for peace in the region and the world at large.
