Foreign Ministry: Saudi Arabia strongly condemns, denounces failure to take necessary measures to prevent attacks on Islamic sanctuaries

Riyadh, July 23, SPA -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation for failure to take the necessary measures to prevent acts of desecration of Islamic symbols and sanctuaries with the latest being the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran and raising anti-Muslim slogans by members of an extremist group in front of the Republic of Iraq’s Embassy in Copenhagen.
The ministry has expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation in the strongest terms of such disgraceful acts which incite violence and religious hatred, warning at the same time against the repetition of such acts which provoke the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world and violate all international laws and conventions.
