52.5 PERCENT OF JOBSEEKERS ARE WOMEN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ There are 34.2 thousand jobseekers at the end of March, reports the National Statistics Office. At the end of March 2018, the Labor and Social Welfare Services Agencies have registered 34.2 thousand job seekers, of which 23.1 thousand or 67.6 percent were unemployed and remaining 11.1 thousand or 32.4 percent were employed but looking for a new job. Registered unemployment was decreased by 11.3 thousand persons or 32.8 percent from the same period of the previous year, while it was decreased by 1.5 thousand persons or 5.9 percent from the previous month. A breakdown by gender shows that 12.1 thousand or 52.5 percent were women among total number of registered unemployed. For newly registered unemployed by reason of looking for a new job, there are the highest percent was dismissed from job or 46.4 percent and the lowest percent was persons who are reached working age and left nursing home were 0.1 percent. source: National Statistics Office
