AA's photo journalist Yurdakul wins award for a photograph taken in Somalia

ANKARA (A.A) - One of the most experienced photo journalists of Turkey's leading news provider Anadolu Agency (AA), Firat Yurdakul, has won a globally important award for a photograph taken in Somalia. In a photo competition held by the Chinese Xinhua News Agency, Yurdakul won the honorable mention award for a photograph showing a Turkish aid worker while feeding a hungry and sick Somali child. Xinhua's photo competition took place under the name "Focus on Poverty" and with the cooperation of the UN Development Program. The competition aimed to raise global attention to poverty.
