Abdullah bin Zayed: UAE is home to a thriving PR industry with the most dynamic media scene in the Middle East

Abu Dhabi, March 14, 2012 (WAM) - UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of National Media Council H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has stressed the importance of communications in the digital age. In a message addressed to 20th Public Relations World Congress (PRWC), which kicks off in Dubai on Wednesday, Sheikh Abdullah said that the UAE is home to a thriving PR industry that engages with the most dynamic media scene in the Middle East. Over 450 delegates, speakers and students will participate in this two-day biennial international event to be held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. "The work of Public Relations professionals is important to all us, especially in today's digital world, where we can connect with one another instantly," Sheikh Abdullah said, speaking in his capacity as Chairman of the National Media Council, which is an Official Partner of the Congress along with the Gulf Chapter of the International Public Relations Association. Sheikha Abdullah welcomed the delegates and said:"It is fitting that this year's Congress, which brings together stakeholders from across the globe, is being held here.
