AGU seeks educational, electronic cooperation with Korea

Manama, Aug. 6 (BNA): Arab Gulf University (AGU) President Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali received Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, Koo Hyun-mo, and discussed aspects of cooperation with Korea’s leading higher education institutions and giant electronic companies, including Seoul National University and Samsung Company. Dr. Al-Ohali gave an overview of the AGU’s regional role, as a GCC owned, managed and financed university, as well as its medical, technical and teaching specialties and its cooperation programmes with local, Gulf and international organisations. He also gave a brief of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City Project in Bahrain, which comprises a 300-bed teaching hospital, research centres, conference hall, in addition to accommodations for the university’s staff and students.
