Ahmadinejad Ends His Tajik Visit

Tehran, March 27, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Tehran on Monday ending his three-day visit to Tajikistan. He was welcomed by 1st Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi at Mehrabad Airport coming back from the third International Nowruz Celebrations and the Fifth Afghan economic Conference in Dushanbe. After the two meetings, he took part the Third Tripartite Iran-Afghanistan-Tajikistan Meeting and the Quadrilateral Meeting of Iran-Afghanistan-Tajikistan-Pakistan which took place on Sunday in Saman Palace in Dushanbe. President Ahmadinejad arrived in Dushanbe on Saturday to attend the four events and held held talks with his counterparts there. Ahmadinejad, accompanied by his deputies, advisors and Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and chief of staff of presidential office Rahim Mashaei, visted some Iranian projects under construction in Tajikistan including a Wrestling Satdium, Iranian School and Iranian Cultural House in Dushanbe and attended their inauguration ceremonies./end
