Air-conditioned train to Pattaya launched

BANGKOK, March 17 (TNA) - The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) on Saturday launched an air-conditioned train from Bangkok to popular seaside resort of Pattaya to promote tourism and facilitate people wishing to travel during weekend. Acting SRT governor Anon Luengboriboon said the air-conditioned train from Bangkok to Pattaya and Baan Phluthaluang in Satthahip in of Chon Buri province run every Saturday and Sunday on a trial basis for six months. Two trains are operational each day. The trial train services will end this September 30 and they could be extended, depending on demand, he added. - (TNA)
