All activities for late Thai King to be nationally-archived
BANGKOK, October 31 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has instructed the Situation Monitoring Command (SMC) to collect all activities for late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej from all parties, including photographs, webcasts and video clips, to be recorded as part of the national archives.
Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office Suwapan Tanyuwattana, in his capacity as the SMC Chief, told the prime minister's order at a
meeting of parties concerned held at Bangkok's Government House on October 30.
Suwapan quoted the Thai premier as saying that the Ministry of Interior is responsible for collecting all activities for the late and beloved Thai monarch held in Bangkok and all provincial areas.
Besides, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with collecting all the activities held in foreign countries or sent to or conducted in Thailand by foreign guests, including letters of condolences, activities to pay last tributes to the late and revered Thai King or visits by foreign royalties, government and diplomatic leaders to personally sign their names or pay respects to the royal urn of late His Majesty the King, covering those who have written their condolences in their respective countries or embassies.
According to the minister, SMC is working together with the Ministry of Culture for keeping all the records in remembrance of late His Majesty the King as part of the national archives.
The late and beloved Thai monarch passed away at Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital on October 13. (TNA)
