Artificial rain-making operations to fill dams

BANGKOK, Sept 14 (TNA) - The Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation has launched operations to make artificial rain to increase water in ten dams across the country to ensure enough water supply before entering the dry season. Surasee Kittimonthon, director-general of the Department updated the water situation in major dams, saying reserve water in some dams is lower than the normal storage level. He ordered the artificial rainmaking missions to fill water in ten major dams in each region, particularly those currently contain the water less than 30 per cent of their capacity. After the operation yesterday, light to medium rainfall were reported in targeted areas. (TNA)
