Assistant foreign minister receives US delegation

Manama, Apr. 3 (BNA): The Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri has received a delegation from the Bureau of Regional and Near Eastern Affairs (NEA), Security, Human Rights and Labour at the US Department of State.
The assistant minister expressed the Kingdom's pride in the close and strategic relations with the US, stressing keenness to strengthen these relations at all levels in order to meet the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Al Doseri briefed the delegation on the progress made by Bahrain in the field of human rights and on the most important achievements and initiatives to promote a culture of tolerance and moderation and familiarized them with Bahrain’s efforts to curb religious hatred and intolerance.
He also informed the delegation of the national human rights reports submitted to the United Nations that highlight the Kingdom’s numerous successes and progresses in terms of civil and political rights and democracy as well as the national achievement of the best results and indicators in economic and social rights.
He attributed Bahrain’s achievements to the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his reform approach that created a roadmap for human development in its broad dimensions for the sake of a country where everyone enjoys rights, freedoms, progress and prosperity.
The delegation stressed the depth of their country’s friendly relations with the Kingdom and praised the great steps taken by both sides to enhance bilateral relations at various levels, stressing the importance of continuing joint coordination on various issues and wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
