Autopsy Report of Malaysia's Heli Crash Victims Handed To Police

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 (Bernama) -- The autopsy report of the two victims of the helicopter crash in Taman Melawati on Sunday has been handed to the Malaysian police, said the director of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia), Prof Dr Hanafiah Harunarashid. He said the post-mortems on the late Commander (B) Mohamed Sabri Baharom and Mohd Irfan Fikri Mohamed Rawi were completed at 11.15 am and 1.15 pm today respectively. "We received the two bodies yesterday afternoon and COVID-19, CT scan and x-ray screenings were also done yesterday (Sunday), before the autopsy was started on Sabri's body at 9 am Monday by HCTM forensic experts. "Police will issue a statement on the results of the autopsy," he told reporters Monday. He also confirmed that the next of kin of the two victims had identified the bodies before the autopsy began. "On behalf of the hospital, we would like to express our condolences to the families of the two victims," he said. In Sunday's incident, two helicopters were believed to have collided in mid-air before one of them crashed at about noon in Taman Melawati, Ampang near here. A search on the aviation website at https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/type/G2CA also found that Sunday’s incident was the 45th and 46th recorded since the first one in Baden, Germany on April 19, 2010, reported Bernama. -- BERNAMA
