Azerbaijani President participates in opening of Shirvan Olympic Sport Complex

Azerbaijan, Baku, July 1 / Trend / President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today officially inaugurated Shirvan Olympic Sport Complex. The groundbreaking ceremony for the facility took place in 2010. Youth and Sport Minister Azad Rahimov told the Head of State that the total area of the complex was 4.5 hectares. The complex will feature a 44-bed hotel. The Head of State was informed of the projects to repair and reconstruct Olympic Movement Museum and Hand-played Games Palace. The complex has an auditorium and offices. It has a 980-seat gym for football, volleyball and basketball competitions, as well as a pool.
