Azeri president sympathizes with Iranians over deadly flood

Baku, March 27, IRNA – Azeri President Ilham Aliyev cabled a message on Wednesday to his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani to sympathize over killer floods claiming lives of many civilians. In the message which was addressed to president and Iranian people, he said the loss of life of a number of Iranian civilians worried me very much and voiced condolences to the bereaved families of the victims. He also prayed for immediate recovery of those injured during the incident. Iran was hit with huge waves of floods nationwide resulting to huge calamities in recent days. Based on the latest reports some 19 people have been killed and some 105 others have been injured. Some 17 cities and over 600 villages have been affected by the devastating flood.
