BACA president receives Sudanese ambassador

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received here today the Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Hassan. Shaikha Mai stressed the importance of maintaining the existing bridges of communication between Bahrain and Sudan, lauding the cultural relations between the two countries, which, she said, have resulted in diverse cultural activities. She informed the ambassador about BACA’s activities in 2018, including the celebration of Muharraq as the Capital of Islamic Culture, and the near launch of the Spring of Culture Festival, in addition to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Bahrain Fort Site Museum, the first investment in culture projects. The Sudanese envoy lauded Bahrain’s cultural features and rich history, praising BACA’s efforts to invigorate the cultural momentum in the kingdom, and consolidate cultural exchange between the people of Bahrain and peoples of the world.
