Bahrain chocolate expo draws 30 firms

Manama, Aug. 9 (BNA): The second edition of the chocolate and Coffee Exhibition has so far drawn 30 Bahraini and GCC companies which confirmed their participation. The 2017 three-day event will open on December 7 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC). The expo will be held under the patronage of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA) Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa. “The positive response of specialised companies from Bahrain and abroad has exceeded all expectations”, said Events Starts – an event management company which will organise the expo. The management firm is aspiring to attract 100 firms to take part in this year’s edition, building on the success of the 2016 expo which achieved 15,000 visitors and 51 companies. Events Starts CEO Yasmin Jamal underlined the importance of Bahrain companies’ participation in the conference which, she said, reflects the vitality of this sector which grew threefold over the past decade in the Kingdom.
