Bahrain hosts Occupational Health Conference2018

Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): Lt-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Health, has patronized the Occupational Medicine Conference. The conference was held on February 11 to 12, at the Royal University for Women in collaboration with West Virginia University. The event was attended by renowned speakers in the medical field in addition to a number of representatives from the health, industry and business sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain, North America and the GCC. The conference aims to equip participants with a number of skills including updating current disaster preparation and response plans for effective action and communication, protecting technology systems storing medical information throughout a disaster situation, assessing the level of preparedness of trauma systems and first responders to deal with disasters and practically manage risks in mass gatherings. The workshop attracted the participation of approximately 86 participants from related sectors.
