Bahrain, Saudi discuss health cooperation

Manama, Feb. 15 (BNA): Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa today held a meeting with Saudi Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and discussed joint cooperation. Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh and the delegation accompanying the Saudi minister attended the meeting which was held at the Capital Club at the Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH). Dr. Al-Rabiah is leading a high-level delegation on visit to Bahrain to be updated on health services and the prospects of cooperation between the two countries and the exchange of expertise. The SCH Chief and Health Minister Al-Saleh paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his constant royal directives to promote the health sector. They lauded His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for their support. They also hailed the landmark health strides in Saudi Arabia, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The two sides stressed the importance of holding joint coordination meetings and workshops to exchange expertise regarding the implementation of the health insurance scheme.
