Bahrain shines in GCC Holy Quran, Hadith Competition

Manama, Mar. 4 (BNA): Bahrain’s youth delegation to the 28th edition of the GCC Holy Quran and Hadith competition shined in the contest which concluded recently in Oman by clinching first place in all categories. The delegation also won Best Voice and Youngest Participant Awards. Youth and Sport Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder hailed the distinguished achievement, pointing out that this accomplishment brought about for the second consecutive year underlines the leadership’s keenness to support Bahraini youngsters and serve the Holy Quran. He asserted the ministry’s keenness to take part actively in the annual competition and engage Bahraini youngsters in it. Assistant Undersecretary for Sport Affairs and Establishments Khalid Salim Al Haj received the Bahraini delegation on arrival at Bahrain International Airport yesterday, in the presence of President of External Youth Activities Hesham Al Kooheji.
