Bahrain-US relations, cooperation highlighted

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the Sakhir Palace received a US Senate delegation led by Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Richard Burr. HM the King reviewed the longstanding strategic bilateral relations highlighted by mutual respect and cooperation in various fields, looking forward to further boosting them as friends and allies. He expressed appreciation of the US community’s contributions to the development process seen by the Kingdom of Bahrain. HM the King stressed that Bahrain is pushing on with the development in all sectors, taking pride in the spirit of respect that prevails among all religions and sects. HM the King pointed out the US vital role in maintaining the regional and international peace and stability, underlining Bahrain’s support for the same. He attached great significance to the role of the exchange of visits in strengthening friendship relations between the two countries. Senator Burr welcomed HM the King’s effort to reinforce the bilateral relations, praising Bahrain’s key role in maintaining security and stability in the region in collaboration with the US, emphasizing his country's keenness to promote the relations and working together to maintain stability in the region.
