BEST RESEARCH WORKS BY YOUNG SCIENTISTS SELECTED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the frames of Innovation Week, a scientific conference among master’s and doctorate students was co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) for the third year on May 9. The aims of the scientific conference are to support scientific works and researches of master’s and doctorate students, give them chance to introduce results of their researches, prepare new scientific workers, and promote science to government, private sector and public. Traditionally, master's and doctorate students deliver and discuss their research works in English. Then, the papers are judged by scholars and researchers of the MAS, the MUST and the National University of Mongolia and best works are selected. President of the Mongolian Young Scientists’ Association D.Battogtokh said that the number of young researchers tends to be increased in science and technology field. It has been observed that new era is coming for young scientists, in which young scientific workers can formulate policy level documents, conduct research works and lead the research works by their own. For instance, now young researchers are able to work in fundamental studies and projects being implemented by relevant ministries. A total of 10 master and doctorate students made presentations on their research works and Master student B.Tegshjargal and doctorate O.Munkhdulam won the Best research work award, granting certificate and cash prizes.
