BEST SCIENTIFIC WORKS OF 2017 AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The best scientific works of 2017 have been named by the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. The scientists were awarded during a ceremonial conference held on November 24 in commemoration of the 96th anniversary of the founding of scientific organization in Mongolia and World Science Day (November 10). P.Delgerjargal (PhD) from the National University of Mongolia and B.Batsuren (PhD) from the Institute of History and Archaeology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences won the first place with their ‘History of Mongolia’ 5-volume book. The second place went to academician J.Temuujin (PhD) for his work titled ‘Characteristics, Processing and Use of Coal Ash’. Three works were tied in the third place – a study themed ‘Humic Substances and The Biochemical Activities of Their Nanocosites’ by G.Dolmaa (PhD) from the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Academy of Sciences, ‘Amphibians in Mongolia’ by Kh.Terbish (PhD) from the National University of Mongolia, Kh.Munkhbayar (PhD) of the State University of Education and M.Munkhbaatar (PhD) and ‘Raw Materials Used in Traditional Mongolian Medicine and Pharmacopeia’ by professor Ch.Chimedragchaa (PhD), academician B.Dagvatseren, B.Dejidmaa (PhD) and B.Nyamdemberel (PhD) from the Institute of Traditional Mongolian Medicine. Another three works received a special prize – ‘Wonders of Energy and its Transformations’ by academician D.Sodnomdorj (PhD) of the School of Energy, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, ‘Tuvans in Mongolia’ by B.Baatarkhuu (PhD) of the Institute of Cultural Study, Mongolian University of Culture and Arts and ‘Monpour’ drops for animal-usage by B.Burenbaatar (PhD) of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, University of Life Sciences.
