Biak, Papua, Oct 29 (Antara) - The Chief of Biak Numfor Resort Police Commissioner Yustanto Mujiharso confirmed that his institution has beefed up its supervision efforts on the use of police ammunition to prevent irresponsible misapplication. "The police institution can impose a jail sanction and fire personnel who are caught misusing the ammunition," Yustanto remarked on Wednesday. According to the chief, the Biak Police has maintained a record of the ammunition by implementing an organized system in order to detect any misapplication during operations. Yustanto revealed that the Biak Police continue to monitor the use of ammunition and to check any type of ammunition being carried by the personnel and stored in the police office. The chief stated that the police have conducted psychological tests on the personnel using guns and ammunition during operations.
