CABINET BANS WINTER HORSE RACE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Cabinet resolved to ban winter horse races during its meeting, reported the Press and Communications Division on January 25. In specific, children under the age 12 are prohibited to participate in all horse races held between the 3rd day of the first month of spring in the lunar calendar and May 1. The Cabinet instructed the governors of aimags, corresponding officials and the Federation of Mongolian Horse Racing Sport and Trainers to pay attention to the health and safety of child jockeys and prevent possible risks during horse races. The Cabinet sees that it is important to improve the legal environment on child accident insurance in order to increase responsibility of horse trainers. Kh.Aminaa
