Capital Governor to patronise World Social Media Day celebration

Manama, June 27 (BNA): Bahrain will mark the World Social Media Day in a celebration organised the ninth year in a row by the international Social Media Club, The celebration will be held under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, with the participation of Saudi digital marketing expert Hatem Al kameli who will inaugurate his book on marketing on social media platforms in the Middle East. The Capital Governor affirmed during a meeting with President of the international Social Media Club Ali Sabkar the importance of the celebration in placing Bahrain on the world social media map, especially amid growing interest of the Bahraini people in using social media networks. He also commended the efforts exerted by Ali Sabkar to promote the culture of best use of social media networks among individuals and institutions in Bahrain. He affirmed the need to ensure the best use of those websites to highlight the kingdom’s rich cultural and civilisational heritage and stay away from harmful practices.
