Chinese Art Troupe Arrives

Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A Chinese art troupe led by Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., Communist Party of China, arrived here on Friday to take part in the 31st April Spring Friendship Art Festival. The art troupe comprises more than 200 persons. Among them are well-known artistes of the National Ballet, which is famous at home and abroad for its history spanning nearly 60 years, and national opera theatre and state drama theatre. It is accompanied by officials of the International Liaison Department and the Publicity Department of the C.C., CPC and the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The troupe was greeted by Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yo Jong, alternate member of the Political Bureau and first vice department director of the C.C., WPK, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, and other senior party and government officials and officials concerned. Korean women artistes presented bouquets to Song Tao, Li Qun, vice-minister of Culture and Tourism of China, other leading members and artistes of the art troupe. The members of the troupe headed for their lodging quarters, being welcomed by masses. -0-
