Coalition partners in Algeria criticize prime minister

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Many circles in Algeria have reacted to Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia's statements that he made four months before elections. Ouyahia, who prevented a draft law demanding trial of those who were responsible for the French colonialism between 1830-1962 from being approved by the parliament in 2010, has criticized Turkey for bringing up the massacres that France committed in Algeria.  "Nobody has the right to make the blood of Algerians their business," he said. Several from the Algerian cabinet as well Algerian people reacted to Ouyahia's statements. Officials from Algerian cabinet told AA correspondent that Ouyahia made such statements due to upcoming elections (to be held in May 2012). Last week several parliamentarians said that Algerian government has lost its importance after Arab Spring and it must resign, but Ouyahia said he would not resign. (Reporting by Turan Kislakci)
