Commander-in-chief receives GCC navies' commanders

Manama, May 3 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the BDF's General Command today, the commanders of the navies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The GCC Naval forces commanders are in Bahrain to participate in their 17th meeting, hosted by BDF. The commander-in-chief lauded the efforts exerted by the GCC navies' commanders to strengthen cooperation and coordination among them through holding regular meetings aimed at increasing the efficiency of joint action and activating maritime cooperation among GCC countries' armed forces. He praised the outcomes of the 17th meeting, stressing the importance of GCC military meetings in strengthening military cooperation and coordination among GCC states' naval forces. He reiterated Bahrain's support to all efforts and plans to strengthen military complementarity among GCC countries, in line with the these states' common goal and destiny. Assistant GCC Secretary-General for Military Affairs, Major-General Ahmed Ali Al Ali, BDF General Command's Court Director, Major-General Hassan Mohammed Saad, Inspector-General, Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering, Rear Admiral Yussef Ahmed Malallah, Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF) Commander Rear Admiral Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, Major-General Ghanim Ibrahim Al-Fadhala, were present.
