Construction of crematorium replicas almost completed

BANGKOK, Sept 28 (TNA) - Construction of crematorium replicas nationwide is almost completed ahead of the royal cremation of His Majesty late King Bhumibol on Oct 26 while yellow flowers, grown across the country will be ready to be in full bloom during the funeral. In Chon Buri, the crematorium replica is being built in front of the city hall. Contractors and officials are inspecting the work to ensure the structure is well-decorated. Now, the construction work reaches 80 per cent completed and on Friday the blessing ceremony will be held for the nine-tiered umbrella to be installed on the top of the crematorium replica. In Nakhon Pathom, the blessing ceremony for the nine –tired umbrella was performed. Now, officials are assembling wooden decorative parts to the structure. Soldiers from the 51st engineer battalion are working on landscaping improvement in preparation for people to lay paper cremation flowers during the royal cremation on Oct 26. People across the country have also grown yellow flowers in honour of the late King, who was born on Monday. Officials from the local social security office in Phitsanulok have adorned their office with 1,000 marigolds to express their loyalty and gratitude to the beloved King. In Samut Songkram’s Bangkhonthee district, the Napalai hospital held the same activity to plant 589 marigolds in the hospital’s compound. The flowers will be in full bloom during the royal cremation in late October. (TNA)
