Cultural cooperation with US praised

Manama, June 5 (BNA): Isa Cultural Centre (ICC) has honoured its staff who have successfully passed the English language course held in cooperation with the US Embassy. The cultural cooperation ties between the Centre and the Embassy culminated in establishing the American Corner in the Centre's National Library in 2008, said Shaikh Khalid praising the initiative spirits of the ICC staff who excelled in this course. He also praised the Embassy's role in development of cultural situations that boost the solid bilateral ties in all fields. The event was held in the presence of the Centre's board of trustees' deputy chairman Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the US Ambassador to Bahrain William V. Roebuck. The US ambassador praised the cooperation of the Isa Cultural Centre and the excellence of its employees. He said this relationship will further develop in future in integrated cultural initiatives between the Centre and the embassy to reflect the advanced political ties between the two countries' leaderships and peoples.
