Cypriot leaders meet last time before New York meeting

LEFKOSA (A.A) - President Dervis Eroglu of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias met on Monday last time ahead of a tripartite Cyprus summit that will take place in New York on January 22-24. Eroglu and Christofias met at the residence of Lisa Buttenheim, UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Cyprus, in the buffer zone in Lefkosa. The two Cypriot leaders discussed governance, power sharing, property and the New York summit in their meeting on January 4. Cypriot leaders will attend the fifth trilateral meeting with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York between January 22 and 24.
