Document Your Life With Photography

PETALING JAYA (Selangor, Malaysia), Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Efforts should be made to enhance awareness of the importance of photography in documenting the progression of people's lives, said Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Maglin Dennis D'Cruz. "Besides reminding us of every special moment, photos can also tell us the path we've taken, the places we've been to and those we've met," he said when opening the Wedding and Portrait Photographers Malaysia (WPPM) Conference 2011, here on Friday. Maglin said memorable and special events captured on camera would describe everything. He said the four-day conference was a suitable platform for local photographers to share their knowledge with each other and strive to achieve and uplift professional service quality in both wedding and portraiture areas. The deputy minister noted that the presence of renowned master photographers from abroad would help the skills, techniques and innovation of local photographers in creating masterpieces of art. Maglin added everyone in the industry should keep abreast of the constant technology changes, latest trends and new techniques with a view to improving Malaysian photography standards in this digital age. -- BERNAMA Malaysia
