Egyptian embassy dismisses negative messages as untrue

Manama, May 22 (BNA): The Egyptian embassy in Bahrain has dismissed social media messages warning Gulf nationals against traveling to Egypt. The messages are totally unfounded, lack credibility and aim to harm the reputation of Egypt as a major tourism destination in the region, the embassy said in a statement. "The Egyptian interior ministry in April denied such suspicious allegations and said that they aimed to undermine public confidence in the way the Egyptian security services dealt with tourists coming to the country," the embassy said in its statement sent to Bahrain News Agency (BNA). The embassy stressed the deep and solid relations between Bahrain and Egypt and its great pride in their steady development in light of the great attention they have been receiving from the leadership of the two countries.
