Emergency workers swiftly put out several wildfires

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 2, National Emergency Management (NEMA) issued a warning on wildfire risks, calling for caution while travelling in the countryside in this especially dry season. Moreover, the agency reported that wildfires broke out in several aimags this weekend, and that most of them have been put out successfully. Specifically, wildfires in Bayantsogt soum of Tuv aimag, Selenge soum of Bulgan aimag, Sukhbaatar soum of Sukhbaatar aimag and 14th Khoroo, Khan-Uul district of the capital city have been successfully put out as a result of efficient and urgent cooperative actions taken by the emergency workers of the National Emergency Management Agency and local people. As of April 2, Sunday, the agency was working with local people to completely put out a wildfire in Sumber soum of Tuv aimag. The National Emergency Management Agency reports that 10 wildfires have erupted in 2017 on a national level.
