ERC hands new waste collection vehicles to Aden Cleaning Fund

ADEN, 18th May, 2016 (WAM) – The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Authority delivered on Tuesday a new batch of waste collection vehicles to the Aden Cleaning Fund (ACF), as part of the efforts to improve the environment and minimise pollution in the Yemeni province. In the presence of the ERC representatives and Yemeni officials, the ACF manager received the vehicles which entered the service immediately. The fund's manager applauded the great role played by the ERC in improving environmental services in the different Yemeni provinces and thanked the government and people of the UAE for their solid stand for the people of Yemen. He underlined the programmes carried out by the ERC during the past few months, including distribution of food materials, delivery of medical materials and ambulances, and improving the water and electricity supply to alleviate the suffering of the population there. The ERC previously delivered two batch of waste management equipment to the fund, including 26 waste collection vehicles and 1,600 garbage drums. – Emirates News Agency, WAM –
