EWA call centre inspected

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, accompanied by Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, visited the EWA’s new call centre to take a look at its working.
Invita vice chairman Yousuf Ali Mirza and its board members Dr. Abdulrahman Saif and Mohammed Malak, were present.
The minister was briefed on the centre and its development plan from being conceived until its completion, which reflects the positive image of the quality of services provided by the EWA.
The minister and officials toured various sections of the cell centre and listened to a detailed explanation of its work, the mechanism of response of its modern communication systems and the services provided.
During the tour, the minister praised the centres services, praising the role it plays in receiving complaints about electricity and water faults and dealing with them by referring them to specialized departments.
The minister said that the centre was able to offer a response time of less than 20 minutes in more than 80 per cent of the cases.
Dr. Mirza pointed out that the achievements were based on sound guidance and unlimited support from the wise leadership. He stressed the EWA appreciates the support and thanks the wise leadership for its support for electricity and water projects.
He said they look forward to further develop the services provided to the people. He said they would also support the centre to develop its communication services to maximize the benefit of the people and provide them with the best services.
The minister thanked EWA Chief Executive Officer and the officials for their efforts to develop all the services provided by the Authority to the people. uring the visit, the minister was accompanied a number of senior EWA officials.
