EWA quality services to citizens reviewed

Manama, Aug. 3 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza received Head of the Parliamentary Finance and Economic Committee and Member of Parliament (MP) Abdulrahman Bu Ali, to discuss issues concerning citizens. The minister praised the efforts of the Member of Parliament and informed him about current programmes and plans implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) to improve the services. Dr. Mirza also informed MP Bu Ali about latest developments in the sustainable energy projects implemented by EWA's Sustainable Energy Unit, affirming that the Authority encourages investment in solar energy projects and efforts to increase energy efficiency. The meeting also discussed the Executive-Legislature cooperation especially regarding the kingdom's general budget to fulfill the aspirations of citizens and boost the quality of EWA-provided services. Bu Ali praised the minister and EWA officials for their efforts in improvement of services quality, asserting that boosting the means of cooperation between the executive and legislative branches will fruition in the achievement of multifarious aspects of development aspired by the Bahraini citizens.
