Exhibition of Israeli, Mexican artists displayed in Bangkok

BANGKOK , June 7 (TNA) – The Embassies of Israel and Mexico to Thailand and the Fine Arts Department co-host an art exhibition, featuring contemporary works of the two countries’ artists. The exhibition showcases the work of Israeli artist “Outside Looking In” and Mexican Artist “Geographies” at the National Gallery on Chao Fa Road, featuring paintings, photographs, installations and interactive exhibitions. Mexico’s ambassador Mr Jaime Virgilio Nualart Sanchez, Israel’s ambassador Mr Simon Roded and Vice Minister for Tourism and Sports Chawanee Thongroj presided over the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday (July 5). Israeli artist, Maya Gelfman, who created “Outside Looking In” said that her collection of paintings, put on display was inspired by her experience and her attitude towards what happened in her life. She wanted to express ideas to viewers that each human being can perceive a particular truth in different ways. His works reflect d a circle of life that all humans must go through she said adding that she hoped Thai people would be able to learn something from her works without a language barrier. The exhibition is opened from Wednesdays to Sundays from 9 am -4 pm except public holidays until July 30. (TNA)
