Fine Arts dept set to design royal crematorium

BANGKOK, Oct 22 (TNA) - The Department of Fine Arts has already started designing the royal crematorium for His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's funeral, said Thai Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Thanasak Patimaprakorn. The deputy premier said the design would, afterwards, be presented to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as the princess is the advisor to the funeral organising committee, for further considerations. The royal chariots are undergoing repairs and maintenance for use in the funeral procession . Meanwhile, a photo exhibition on the late monarch will be held from October 28 to November 30 at the Bangkok National Museum. Photos to be put on display will be selected from a batch of 15,000 pictures sent in by the general public. Moreover, a total of two million copies of His late Majesty's speech and guidance, as well as biography would be published by the government to hand out to the people within the coming week, said the deputy premier. He then encouraged the general public and media to help create history by sending in pictures and videos of His Majesty King Bhumibol recorded since October 13, 2016, in order to create a collection of pictures in a book called, "An Archive of the People", while the videos would be used to create television documentaries called, "King Bhumibol Will Remain in Our Hearts".
