FM: Package of measures for democratization to enhance confidence in Turkey

Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 1 / Trend R.Hafizoglu / The democratization package, adopted in Turkey, will enhance the credibility in the country, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said today, Turkish TRT Haber TV channel reported. According to him, Turkey must gain fame not only because of its military and economic strength, but due to achievements in the field of human rights. On Sept. 30, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced about a new package of measures for the country's democratization. According to a new democratization package, all political parties in Turkey will move to a system of two chairmen, that is two chairmen will lead the parties. Moreover, Prime Minister said that during the election campaign parties may use not only Turkish, but also other languages spoken in the country. According to the package of measures, a term of imprisonment for crimes motivated by racial hatred will be increased by three years to eliminate inter-ethnic conflicts in the country.
