Foreign Minister receives call from Italian counterpart

Manama, July 10 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received a telephone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy, Angelino Alfano, and reviewed the outstanding friendly ties and latest developments in the region. Shaikh Khalid praised the progress of ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Italy for the benefit of the two countries and people, affirming the need for the international community to eradicate terrorism and those who support and fund it. He stressed that to achieve this goal, a strong commitment is required to strengthen security and peace and to support development and progress in all countries of the world. Mr Alfano affirmed the keenness of the Republic of Italy to further develop cooperation and coordination with the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as support all means of achieving security and stability for the countries and peoples of the region, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
