Foreign minister receives IPI president

Manama, May 28 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received the President of the International Peace Institute (IPI), Terje Roed-Larsen. The minister affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to cooperate with the institute to support the efforts aimed at reinforcing security and stability in the region. Shaikh Khalid also highlighted the active role of the institute thanks to the researches and studies it conducts and the conferences it holds, which present the visions and suggestions of experts and specialists, wishing the IPI success. IPI President thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his continuous support to the institute’s efforts and programmes and for his keenness to keep up-to-date with its various activities, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
