Georgian PM confirms desire to quit politics

Georgia, Tbilisi, July 3 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia /
Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili confirms his intention to resign after the presidential elections.
Ivanishvili told media at a news conference on Wednesday that one must not speculate on this topic.
"I do not leave the country, I am ready to fulfill all my promises," he said. "I will not resign until I answer all existing issues."
Ivanishvili said that he may still be persuaded not to go.
"I will explain my position before leaving and try to convince the public of the need to leave, but we will see," he said.
Prime Minister promised that he can still give advice and help form a new society in Georgia for 20 years.
"The government is only a small part of the Georgian society and I will have an opportunity to control the government, by ensuring all the necessary levers, creating all the necessary conditions for the country to depend on institutions, rather than personalities."
