Georgian President is ready to return citizenship to over 10,000 former compatriots

Georgia, Tbilisi, July 11 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia / Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili intends to rapidly restore citizenship to over 10,000 former citizens of Georgia, who acquired the citizenship of other countries, spokesperson for the Georgian President Manana Manjgaladze said at a press briefing today. According to her, more than 10,000 people were automatically deprived of citizenship after they got the citizenship in other countries. "However, the Georgian president, who issued a decree depriving them of citizenship upon the Justice Ministry's data, plans to rapidly provide them with the second citizenship," she said.
