Green Architecture Technology Exchange Company

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- A building for the Green Architecture Technology Exchange Company at the entrance to Ryomyong Street in Pyongyang draws attention of passersby for its peculiar blossom-shaped appearance. Energy-saving and green architectural technologies like geothermal air-conditioning and rainwater storage technologies were applied to the building. Skylights were installed to allow sunlight in the building and have heating-up effect in winter. What catches visitors' eyes in the building are solar-guided lighting apparatuses installed in places with no skylight. In this regard, Pak Yong Su, deputy director of the Laser Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, told KCNA: The solar-guided lighting system technology comes to be a global trend. The company specializes in developing and applying green architectural technologies conducive to the architectural development of the country. -0-
