Half a million passengers cross King Fahd Causeway

Manama, June 9 (BNA): The total number of passengers who crossed the King Fahd Causeway during the five-day Eid Al-Fitr recess soared by 3.2 per cent (3.2%) to stand at 488. 719, compared with the same period last year. According to statistics released by the Saudi Customs, a total of 245, 143 crossed the causeway on the 4th and 5th Eid days, the highest number of passengers over two days since the strategic artery was opened in 1986. King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA) executive director commended all officials and employees working on the bridge linking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain for their efforts and coordination to ensure the smooth flow of passengers during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
