Health delegation to visit South Korea

Manama, Marc.4 (BNA): Bahrain is seeking the South Korean IT expertise in implementing the health insurance scheme. An agreement will be signed with the South Korean Government to implement the health IT systems. “The scheme will include medication management review system, heath insurance IT scheme and the national e-medical filing”, said Supreme Council for Health (SCH) Chairman Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa. He made the statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) before leading an official delegation to Seoul to ink the deal. He stressed the importance of the Health Insurance Scheme, dubbed “Sehati”, which, he said, aims to enhance the quality, efficiency and sustainability of medical services. The law on health insurance was endorsed by the government on November 21, 2016 and referred to the legislative branch of government to be approved.
